Born in Cuneo in 1977, Alan shifted with his family to Veneto, where his career took shape. He studied philosophy at the University Ca’ Foscari of Venice and took lessons from Italo Zannier, one of the fathers of the history of photography in Italy. He shifted to Milan, where he worked as the assistant of established photographers in order to develop his own personal expression. His particular use of light, against shadows and blurred frames, lends a sense of poetic introspection to the subject. As visceral in his takes as he is meditative in his preparation, he is happy to have created a support team, which includes his mother.
