  1. Generic “BEER” beer is not fictive. It was a real product in the late seventies. When I was a punk I used to buy it by the caseload because it was ridiculously cheap — something like $1.50 a six-pack. Horrible stuff, but it was beer. It was sold at Safeway stores in Seattle and presumably others.
