Strong packaging stands out on the shelf and gives the consumer a hint at what’s inside. Following that maxim, Austin Beerworks’ bold, crisp and clean brewing profile drove the design of their retail packaging. Our goal was to make a striking introduction to consumers, and to communicate the big flavor and dry finish present in every drop they produce.
To reference the brewers’ character and sense of humor, we built a unique naming matrix that includes Norse mythology, military operations, power tools, 80’s action flicks and quotes from Gary Busey. Combine that with the design, and you get memorable packaging you could pick out quickly at a store and recognize clearly across a crowded bar— or even a football field.
