The snus (moist tobacco) market in Norway is well developed with many established brands. The introduction of a smoking ban meant that even more consumers became interested in this more socially acceptable product. A crowded market and new consumers required a different kind of product which would be a simple, functional and easy to understand. The Lab Series consists of 2 products, the products have no product names but are simply numbered making them both memorable and easy to order. The design relies heavily on pictograms which ensures that they are informative and easy to understand for those unfamiliar with snus.
